Turn the hand wheel
, located on the right side of
the sander, counter-clockwise to raise the sanding
head enough to remove the styrofoam pads
located under the drive roller.

Swing out the locking bar
as shown.

Turn the tension adjusting hand wheel
counter-
clockwise to lower the upper roller
enough to
be able to install the sanding belt around the
rollers.

Turn the lock handle
counter-clockwise to un-
lock the sanding belt tension adjusting hand
wheel .
7.
Slide the sanding belt onto the rollers as shown.
Tip: To extend belt life and avoid premature breakage,
take note of the direction arrows
printed on the inside
of the sanding belt to make sure you install the belt in the
correct direction.

Position the belt roughly centered on the sanding
head rollers

Tip: It is not necessary to remove the top cover to veri-
fy if the belt is centered. Look through the left side door
and through the front window to verify belt position-
