15 Using an overhead crane, attach a lifting strap
of suitable capacity equipped with the M16
shackles to the threaded rings at the top of the
outer mast.
16 Lift the mast assembly approximately
12 inches / 30 cm. Use a permanent marker to
indicate the face closest to the platform with the
mark 'P' on the number 1 mast. Refer to
Illustration 3.
17 Remove the mast assembly from the machine,
while carefully pulling the cables and hydraulic
hose from the mast. With the 'P' mark facing
upwards, place the mast assembly on a level
workbench capable of supporting it.
Crushing hazard. The mast
assembly could become
unbalanced and fall if not properly
supported when removed from the
machine.
Component damage hazard.
Cables and hoses can be
damaged if they are kinked or
pinched.
