Perform Engine Maintenance -
Ford Models
Engine specifications require that
this procedure be performed daily
or every 8 hours, whichever comes
first.
Proper engine maintenance, following the engine
manufacturer's maintenance schedule, is essential
to good engine performance and service life. Failure
to perform the maintenance procedures can lead to
poor engine performance and component damage.
Required maintenance procedures and additional
engine information are available in the
Ford LRG-425 EFI Operator Handbook
(Ford part number FPP 194-302).

Check for Fuel Leaks
Failure to detect and correct fuel leaks will result in
an unsafe condition. An explosion or fuel fire may
cause death or serious injury.
Explosion and fire hazard. Engine
fuels are combustible. Inspect the
machine in an open, well-ventilated
area away from heaters, sparks,
flames and lighted tobacco.
Always have an approved fire
extinguisher within easy reach.

fuel injectors, hoses and fittings and throttle
body.
