Confirm the Proper
Brake Configuration
Proper brake configuration is essential to safe
operation and good machine performance.
Hydrostatic brakes and hydraulically-released,
spring-applied individual wheel brakes can appear
to operate normally when they are actually not fully
operational.
1 Check each drive hub disconnect cap to be sure
it is in the engaged position.

Check the Oil Level in
the Drive Hubs
Failure to maintain proper drive hub oil levels may
cause the machine to perform poorly and continued
use may cause component damage.
1 Drive the machine to rotate the hub until the
plugs are located one on top and the other
at 90 degrees.
2 Remove the plug located at 90 degrees and
check the oil level.
Result: The oil level should be at horizontal
center line.
3 If necessary, remove a plug and add oil until the
oil level is at the horizontal center line.
4 Apply pipe thread sealant to the plug(s), and
then install the plug(s) in the drive hub.
5 Repeat this procedure for each drive hub.
