COMPOUND ANGLE MODE
For compound angles (cuts for crown molding) you will need to enter into the compound angle mode
and save the spring angle and the corner angle values into the memory.
The unit will then calculate the mitre angle and bevel angle values necessary to set up a compound
mitre saw.
Please note:
If you do not know the spring angle value of the item you are working with it is easier to measure it
before starting the compound angle mode (see supplement angle). The spring angle value matches the
supplement angle value.
Step 1:
Start the compound angle mode by pressing the MITRE“ button (>2 sec.). The SPR indicator will start
to flash and the SPR angle stored last is displayed. After 2 seconds the flashing will stop and the display
shows the current angle value.
Step 2:
If the SPR angle value stored does not need to be changed press the „MITRE“ button to advance to the
next step.
Step 2a:
If the SPR angle value stored needs to be changed set up the arms to the desired angle. Then press
the „MITRE“ button to save the new angle value. The indicator SPR and the saved angle value will
flash once to indicate that the new angle value has been stored into the memory as the spring angle
value(SPR).
Step 3:
If the CNR indicator is not yet displayed press the „MITRE“ button. The CNR indicator will start to flash
and the CNR angle value stored last is displayed. After 2 seconds the flashing will stop and the display
shows the current angle.
Step 4:
If the CNR angle value stored does not need to be changed press the „MITRE“ button to advance to
the next step.
