100 m distance or less if not possible. No distance reading is taken during these
steps so a prism target is not required. The visual target must be positioned at least
27 °/30 gon above or beneath the horizontal plane.

Place and secure the instrument into the tribrach and onto a tripod.

Using the tribrach footscrews, level the instrument with the electronic level.

Access the electronic level and laser plummet by using the key-combination <FNC>
+<.> or by starting GeoMax Toolkit and go to MAIN MENU screen and select
Level.
