If the offset value is set too low, the rectangles will not close.
If the offset value is set too high, the rectangles will be distorted.
Increase the knife offset with the
key if the squares appear to
have rounded corners. Decrease the knife offset with the
key if
the squares seem to have little spikes on them. Press the
key or
the
key to save the changed setting.
1.8.2. PEN INSTALLATION
The Gerber P2C 600 cutters can also be used with a pen. Replacing the knife
with a pen allows the cutter to be used as a plotter for drawing draft plots of
new or existing designs on paper.

To install the pen, proceed as follows:
•
Power up the cutter and load a piece of media (See 1.7).
•
Press the
key until “SYSTEM TEST” is displayed on the LCD.
•
Press the
key.
•
Press the
key until “TOOL” is displayed on the LCD.
•
Press the
key. The current tool is now displayed.
•
Press the
or
key until “PEN” is displayed on the LCD.
•
Press the
key to confirm the tool change.
•
Press the
key twice to return to normal mode.
•
The cutter will now ask for the pen to be inserted into the holder.
Place the pen in the holder and then press any key to confirm the
selection.
•
Like the knife pressure, the pen pressure can also be changed. To
change the pen pressure, follow the procedure for changing the knife
pressure as provided in the preceding section.
