USE
NOTE:
Always unplug the power cord before making adjustments and performing maintenance.
FITTING THE DUST COLLECTOR
The tool is supplied with a dust collector, which should always be used. The dust collector is easy to fit – just
press it onto the dust extraction port on the back of the tool.
FITTING SANDPAPER
1.
Use a suitable grade of sandpaper.
2.
Align the holes in the sandpaper to the holes in the base, and press the sandpaper in place.
STARTING/STOPPING
1.
Plug in the power cord.
2.
Start and stop the tool with the power switch.
SANDING
The sander is intended to be used to sand wood, metal, plastic and other similar materials. It can be used to
sand and polish surfaces.
1.
Start the tool before applying it to the work piece.
2.
Move the tool in circles over the surface to be sanded.
3.
Make sure to keep the tool parallel with the work piece and use moderate pressure. Keep the whole
sanding plate flush with the work piece.
If the work piece is still not smooth after sanding, use a coarser grade of sandpaper to sand any rough bits
before continuing with the first sandpaper. You can also use new sandpaper to sand the rough bits before
continuing with finer sandpaper.
WARNING:
Wear safety glasses, a dust mask and ear protection.
Never use the tool if the sandpaper is not covering the whole base.
DUST EXTRACTION
•
Empty the dust bag when it is half full.
•
Do not use the dust bag when sanding metal. Hot metal particles could ignite residual wood dust or the
actual bag.
•
The dust bag can be washed. Make sure that it is completely dry before replacing it.
NOTE:
The sanding machine is only intended for dry sanding, and must not be used for wet sanding.
