Redialing
If a message was not transmitted suc-
cessfully, that does not mean that you
have to enter the telephone number
again. In many cases, the machine
will redial the destination automati-
cally. Or, with the AI Redial key, you
can redial with just a few keystrokes.
Automatic Redialing
The machine will automatically redial
the other party if any of the following
conditions occurred.
• The other party was busy
• There was no reply from the other
party
• The message was rejected by the
machine at the other end because
of excessive errors (in this case, re-
dialing will only take place if
Memory Transmission was used)

Redialing is done once at 5 minute
intervals.

The number of redials and the re-
dial interval may be adjusted by a
service technician.

During redialing, the number be-
ing dialed is displayed as shown
below.

DIALING
Using the AI Redial key
The machine remembers the last 10
telephone numbers that you input. If
you have to redial one of these num-
bers, just press the
{
Al Redial
}
key, un-
til the required telephone number or
name is displayed, then press the
{
Start
}
key.
This feature has the following uses.
• If the machine is waiting to redial
the other party, you do not have to
wait for the redialing interval to
expire. Press the
{
Al Redial
}
key un-
til the required telephone number
or name is displayed, then press
the
{
Start
}
key.
• If you wish to send another mes-
sage to the same address that you
sent one to recently, you don't
have to dial the full number again
if it is still in the Redial memory.
Place the message in the feeder,
then press the

key.
