Loading side – manual loading
The above flowchart shows the process of loading a rack at loading side. The numbers are
pop-ups required during this process. The most important aspects are the following: it is
not allowed to load empty racks at this side due to potential efficiency issues if this is done
during a production batch. When manually loading a rack with nests, the timestamp can be
entered through this loading flow. Finally, if the rack is unchanged compared to when it
was unloaded (and indicated by the operator as being unchanged), only non-processed can
be loaded at this side. This is for efficiency reasons.
Unloading side – manual loading
Here, empty racks can be entered. If the unloading side is not empty, the system checks if
it is being processed. If this is not the case, the operator should load it at the loading side of
the autoclave. If there is no pharma-alarm on the rack, the system will continue unloading
without additional input. However, if there is a pharma-alarm, the supervisor should use
his clearance to decide that this rack should be pushed through. For this, the flag
“automatic unloading authorized” is used as the pharma-flag shouldn’t be set to FALSE
for GMP or manual review.
