8) SAS2 0/1/2/3/4/5/6/7 (SAS 3Gb/s Connectors, Controlled by Intel C606 Chipset)
The SAS connectors conform to SAS 3Gb/s standard and are compatible with SAS 1.5Gb/s standard. Each
SAS connector supports a single SAS or SATA device. The Intel C606 Chipset supports RAID 0, RAID 1,
and RAID 10. Refer to Chapter 5, "Configuring SAS Hard Drive(s)," for instructions on configuring a RAID
array.

A RAID 0 or RAID 1 configuration requires at least two hard drives. If more than two hard drives
are to be used, the total number of hard drives must be an even number.
•
A RAID 10 configuration requires four hard drives.

9) CLR_CMOS (Clear CMOS Jumper)
Use this jumper to clear the CMOS values (e.g. date information and BIOS configurations) and reset the
CMOS values to factory defaults. To clear the CMOS values, use a metal object like a screwdriver to touch
the two pins for a few seconds.
•
Always turn off your computer and unplug the power cord from the power outlet before clearing
the CMOS values.
•
After system restart, go to BIOS Setup to load factory defaults (select Load Optimized Defaults) or
manually configure the BIOS settings (refer to Chapter 2, "BIOS Setup," for BIOS configurations).
