Wireless Mode when starting Ad hoc network -
Specifies the
frequency and rate at which your client adapter should transmit
packets to or receive packets from other clients (in ad hoc mode).
Channel -
Specifies the channel that your client adapter uses for
communications in a 2.4-GHz ad hoc network. The available
channels conform to the IEEE 802.11 Standard for your regulatory
domain.
The channel of the client adapter must be set to match the channel
used by the other clients in the wireless network.
802.11 Authentication Mode -
Specifies how your client adapter
attempts to authenticate to an access point. Open and shared
authentication do not rely on a RADIUS server on your network.
Preferred Access Points
If this profile is configured for use in an infrastructure network and you want to
specify up to four access points to which the client adapter should attempt to
associate, click Preferred APs. The Preferred Access Points window appears
