9-Point-Measurement of the electric field (“E3D”)…
… in an (almost) field-free area: the indication of the domi-
nant frequency is unpredictable.
In fields of minimal values the indication of the domi-
nant frequency is a matter of pure stochastic
… in an (almost) field-free area there is still a reading
on the display
The function “Peak” does not work in combination
with “E3D” and a recording (the recording process
onto the SD-card causes periodic peaks
of 10-20 V/m).
When using a telescopic rod, a reading may well be
caused by either movement-induced fields or alter-
nating electrostatic fields from your contact
with the rod.
Solution: The configuration part of NFAsoft allows to
set the high pass filter at 16 Hz or 50 Hz. This will
suppress most of these “pseudo fields”, the 50 Hz
filter of course more so than the 16 Hz filter. In areas
where the 16.7 Hz frequency is not used for traction
power you should choose the 50 Hz filter.
… in an (almost) field-free area and using the equipment
holder PM1 the evaluation with NFAsoft still shows high val-
ues at usually only one point, especially in the “R<2k” chan-
nel which does not usually show up during a “normal”
measurement
This is nearly always a matter of “pseudo fields” caused
by movements or electrostatics in the area of the meter
(for instance by the person moving away from the
