Accepting a call
An incoming call on a Gigaset handset is indicated in three ways: by ringing, by a display
on the screen and by the flashing

and
c
keys.
You can accept the call on the handset in the following ways:
¤
Press the talk key
c
to make the call via the receiver.
¤
Press the speaker key
d
to make the call via the loudspeaker.
¤
To deactivate the ringtone, press the
§Silence§
display key. You can accept the call as long
as it is displayed on the screen.
Press the display key
§Reject§
or the end call key
a
to reject a call.
Calling Line Identification
When you receive a call, the caller's number or name is displayed if the following
prerequisites are met.
u
Your PABX/provider supports CLIP, CLI and CNIP.
– CLI (Calling Line Identification): the caller's number is transmitted.
– CLIP (Calling Line Identification Presentation): the caller's number is displayed.
– CNIP (Calling Name Identification Presentation): the caller's name is displayed.

You have requested CLIP or CNIP from your provider.
u
The caller has requested CLI from the provider.
Call display
Example of display:
If the caller's number is in the handset's directory, the caller's name will be shown. If an
image has been stored, this will also be displayed.
