1. Place the machine on a smooth, level surface. Make sure the suction feet are
holding the machine securely in place.
2. Plug the machine in.
3. Switch the machine on (set switch to 1) and wait for about 3 minutes for the
carameliser to heat up to the correct temperature.
4. Switch the machine off (set switch to 0) and wait for the carameliser to stop.
5. Pour one level scoop of caster sugar into the hole at the centre of the carameliser.
6. Switch the machine back on (set switch to 1).
7. Move a wooden stick in clockwise movement around the carameliser, twisting it
with your fingers so that candy floss is evenly distributed on the wooden stick.
8. Once the first layer of candy floss is in place on the stick, hold it horizontally over
the machine. Keep twisting the wooden stick with your fingers.
9. When the machine stops producing candy floss, the portion of sugar has been
used up and your first stick of candy floss is ready. Switch the machine off and
wait for the carameliser to stop before you pour in the next portion of sugar.
10. Carefully clean the machine after use as described in the ‘Cleaning your machine’
section.
Should you need new wooden sticks- you can use normal wooden kebab skewers
that are widely available in the shops.
Making your Candy Floss
Candy Floss consists of caramelised strands of sugar. The candy
floss machine melts the sugar. As the carameliser rotates, liquid
sugar spins out and cools in the air to produce delicious
candy floss.
