Transmission/Driveline/Rear Axle
THE TEST/RESET SWITCH:
Is used to both test the “Check Level” circuit for function and to reset
the Check Level LED after correcting the fluid level if necessary. The Check Level LED, once triggered,
will stay on (even with the engine off) until it is reset. When the engine is running, the Check Level LED
can be reset when the bar graph is displaying either high or low red LED’s, but it will reoccur after 32
seconds if the over or under filled condition is not corrected. It can only be reset when the fluid level has
been corrected to within a safe range. When the engine is not running, the Check Level LED can be reset
whether the level has been corrected or not. However, it will reappear if the transmission fluid level is
still too low or too high when the gauge begins functioning after the engine is restarted and the transmis-
sion is up to temperature.

CHECK LEVEL LED:
this led stays illuminated when the
transmission oil level is .1/2"
over the hot full and 1/2" under
the hot add. the check level led will
remain illuminated until the oil level
is restored to the green led range
of the ft2200 gauge. the check
level led can be reset by depressing
the reset switch, but it will continue
to trigger until the proper level is restored.

FT2200 Power-Up Codes: Will activate when the
gauge is first powered. the first code identifies the
software version. the second code identifies the
transmission the gauge is made for. the third id
code identifies the transmission fluid.
FT2200 Time-Delay: There is a 90 second time delay after
the engine is running at low idle, and the transmission is in
neutral before the ft2200 gauge bargraph can be read.
this time delay allows the oil in the transmission sump to settle
to the the correct level. (Alternates between top/bottom green
led's and center green led).
transmission sump oil temperature is under 125°f or
Over 220°F: The FT2200 gauge will not display the oil
level on the bargraph until the transmission oil heats up or
cools down (bargraph flashes top/bottom green led's).
Sensor Disconnected: This code will activate along with the
check level led when the ft0650 transmission sensor
is disconnected from the ft2200 gauge (bargraph
alternates between top/bottom red led's and top/bottom
amber led's).
Temperature Sensor Signal Interrupted: The FT2200
gauge will display top/bottom amber led's then the
non-compensated transmission sump oil level (bargraph
alternates between the top/bottom amber led's and the
current transmission oil level).
FT2200 Stand-By: Will display this code when the engine is
not running, the is at fast idle, or the transmission is
not in neutral.
