OPERATING THE LAMP

6. Push the lantern onto the back plate an 8th of a turn to the left.
7.  Rotate the lantern to the upright position and use the plastic pin provided in the bottom of the  
    fitting to secure (Figure 1).

8. Turn on the mains supply.
9.  Select function. 
    By flicking the mains switch on and off for the lantern and waiting for 10 seconds for the  
    lantern to boot up, you can select between 3 functions, indicated by the colour LED that can  
    be seen on the sensor.

   Blue 
   P-LUX MODE – The lantern will work as a nightlight on dimmed mode from dusk until dawn  
    and brighten to its full output when motion is detected.

   Green 
   PIR MODE – The lantern will come on at its full setting for 60 seconds after motion is detected. 
    It will then return to its off state.

   Red 
    PHOTOCELL MODE – The lantern will be on full, from dusk until dawn before automatically  
    switching off at sunrise.

NOTE: Do not use this lantern if it is damaged.
Make sure that the lantern is fixed securely

IF IN ANY DOUBT CONSULT A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN.

NOTE: In the wiring examples shown in FIGURE 3, the switch for the fused spur doubles as the 
override switch.

Initial Power Up Cycle

On the initial power up, your lantern will go into one complete cycle that is full light for 45 seconds  
followed by a slow dim down and  it will then switch off  (in day time). This power up cycle will  
happen regardless the light level of the environment.

After installing your P-Lux LED lantern, simply walk past your lantern and look for the coloured 
LED (Motion Indicator) on the PIR to flash which means your lantern is in range but the light will  
not come on in day light.
