Wear parts
Some parts on your GLEAM Cargo eBike will wear out in normal use and will eventually need replacement.
The rate of wear depends on the level of maintenance, mileage, environmental conditions (rain, dirt, salt
etc.) Examples of such parts are:
▪
brake pads
▪
tires, inner tubes
▪
belt, sprockets
For a full list with part numbers refer to GLEAM Cargo eBike wear parts list available at
For safety-critical components, only use genuine replacement parts provided by a GLEAM
authorized dealer. Incompatible components may fail in use and lead to serious injury!

Cleaning
Never use abrasive or corrosive substances to clean your Cargo eBike. Damage may occur.
Do not immerse any components, including the drive unit, in water or clean them with
pressurized water. Damage may occur.
A good way to clean your GLEAM Cargo eBike is with a low-pressure stream of water or a bucket with a
sponge or a soft long bristled brush. Cleaning your Cargo eBike by hand will also help you discover any
mechanical issues early on. There are many products on the market designed specifically for cleaning and
protecting eBikes and their components. They make the job of cleaning your bike easier. Ask your GLEAM
authorized dealer for advice.

Torque settings
It is vitally important that all threaded connections on the cargo are tightened to the correct
torque. Always use a torque wrench to tighten screw connections. Too much torque may lead
to damage the component. Too little torque may lead to the component coming loose and
serious injury. It is not possible to tighten threaded connections correctly without a specialist
torque wrench!
A detailed list on which screws are needed for which component can be found on the GLEAM website:
