When cycling, always adapt your speed and riding style to the road conditions and your skills. Note that the
braking distance can be increased by heavy load, wet roads or loose material on the road surface and can
lead to loss of traction!
Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may
result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Please note that a Cargo eBike in traffic is exposed to high stress and all mechanical components
wear out eventually. All materials and components respond differently to wear or fatigue. If the
design life of a component is exceeded, it may fail without warning. This can lead to injury to the
driver. If you notice any cracks, scratches or colour changes in highly stressed areas, this is an
indication that the lifetime of the component has been reached and that it should be replaced.
When you have activated the eBike drive, the eBike will start moving immediately when you pedal.
Always be careful when taking off to avoid an accident.
Notice that while riding an eBike you are traveling rapidly and silently and other road users may
underestimate your speed or fail to hear you approaching. Therefore, always adapt your speed to
the conditions, respect others and make your presence known by using the bell if needed.
It is very important to always shut off your eBike system and remove the battery before
performing any service, adjustments or cleaning of the eBike. Unintentional activation of the eBike
system can lead to serious injury!
In wet weather ride at a slower speed, turn corners gradually and avoid sudden braking. Brake
earlier than usual as it will take a longer distance to stop. Potholes and slippery surfaces such as
line markings and train tracks might become more slippery when wet.
