USING THE KETTLE

This appliance is not intended for
use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the
appliances by a person responsible

Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.

Do not place the kettle on or near
slippery or hot surfaces.

The kettle must be used with its
original base only.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
l
Use the kettle only for boiling water
or brewing tea.
l
Extreme caution must be used when
moving the Glass Jar containing hot
liquid.
l
Do not use the kettle without water.
l
Never lift the lid when the kettle is in
function.
l
When using the kettle for the first 2-
3 times, throw away the water
because it may not be very clean.
l
When the kettle is not in use, ensure
that the power is off .

Cleaning
•
Unplug the kettle and allow to cool
down, then clean with a soft damp
sponge.
•
Never immerse the kettle in water.
•
Never use abrasive cleaning pads.
Descaling
•
Descale the kettle once a month.
•
To descale, fill the kettle with half a
litre of vinegar and leave it to stand
for 2 hours without heating.
•
Any spots remaining inside can be
cleaned up with a damp cloth.
•
After descaling empty and rinse the
kettle 5-6 times before using.
Repeat if necessary.

Remove the glass jar from the power
base and remove the lid.
Fill with the desired amount of water.
Ensure you do not fill past the tea
maximum mark (1.7 L)
Note : Filling past the 'max' line may
result in serious burns or injuries as a
result of overflowing hot or boiling
water. Filling below the 'min' line will
result in the tea maker switching off
before the water has boiled or
reached the selected temperature.

Lock the filter cup in position. Ensure it
is tightly secured.
Place the filter assembly on the glass
jar. Make sure the lid is firmly locked.
Place the jar on the base. Switch on
the tea maker.
Let the water heat, as it begins to roar
gently, lower the filter cup using the
lever, to dip it in water. Allow the tea to
brew as per desired time. You can lift
and lower the lever during his period to
allow for better infusion.
Once complete, lift the lever to raise
the cup above the water level. Pour into
cups and serve with sugar, lemon or
milk to taste.

USING AS A TEA MAKER FOR
BREWING TEA
• To o
press the push down
knob and lift upward. To close press
down the lid firmly.
• Remove all packaging, stickers or
other accessories from the inside and
outside of the kettle.
• Adjust the length of the cord by
winding it under the base. Wedge the
cord in the slot.
• Place the kettle on a clean, cool and
smooth surface.
• Fill the kettle with the required amount
of water. Connect to the mains and turn
on the switch. The LED indicator glows
• The kettle will turn off automatically
once the water has boiled.

Unlock the SS filter cup of the filter
assembly.
Add tea leaves as per requirement.
