SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USE OF HAIRDRYERS
• If you use the hairdryer in a bathroom, after use, always disconnect the mains
plug, as the nearness of water represents a hazard, even if the hairdryer is
switched off.
Never use the appliance near the bathtub, shower, sinks or other containers
holding water.
There is a risk of electric shock.
• The installation of a residual current circuit breaker with nominal tripping cur-
rent of not more than 30 mA in the house installation offers additional protec-
tion. Please contact your electrician.
• Do not use the appliance when barefoot.
• Do not cover the removable ventilation intake grill (hair filter) during operation
and clean it from time to time. With restricted ventilation intake, the Hair Dryer
will switch off through the built-in overheating protection. In this case, please
set the ventilation level switch to the “0” position and disconnect the mains
plug. Allow the appliance to cool off for approx. 10 minutes, before switching it
on again.
• Do not use the Hair Dryer for wigs or hair pieces made of synthetic material.
• Do not spray any hairspray when the appliance is switched on. There is a risk of
fire and explosion.
• Always switch the hairdryer off, when you put it down.
• Only use the appliance for drying and styling your hair, never for other purposes.
• The hairdryer is exclusively intended for drying human hair!

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Do not leave the device unattended during operation!
• Repairs are only permitted to be carried out by authorised customer service
centres. Therefore, never try to open the appliance or e.g. reach the inside of the
appliance using metal objects.
• If the appliance is not used as intended or is incorrectly operated, no liability can
be assumed for resulting losses!
• Do not operate the appliance outdoors, as it could be exposed to rain or other
moisture!
• Electrical appliances are not a toy! Therefore, use and keep the appliance out of
the reach of children. Do not let the mains cable hang down.
• In the case of damage to the mains cable, this must only be replaced by a
workshop specified by the manufacturer (see guarantee card), in order to avoid
hazards.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or lacking experience and/or know-
ledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or
have received instructions for use of the device from this person in advance.
• Supervise your children in order to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
• The hairdryer is designed for private use.
It is not suitable for commercial use, e.g. in hairdressing salons or beauty studios.
• After unpacking, check the appliance and accessories for completeness accor-
ding to the appliance drawing and for possible transport damage. If in doubt,
do not use the appliance and contact the specified service address.
• Do not use the appliance, if the casing or mains cable is damaged, or if the
appliance no longer functions properly.
• Keep these operating instructions safe and include them, if the appliance
should be passed on.
• Only place the hairdryer on firm and heat-resistant surfaces.
• Packaging material is not a child’s toy! Keep plastic bags away from babies and
small children, there is a risk of suffocation!
• Always unwind the mains cable completely to avoid hazardous overheating.

A slight odour can develop when heating for the first time. This is harmless. Ensure
sufficient ventilation, e.g. through an opened window.
