Connecting to mains power
You can connect the Santinel to mains power at 100-240 V, 50/60 Hz. The mains power
supply must include a connection to ground / protective earth. It must be protected
against ground / earth leakage and overload.
Replacing the power plug
The Santinel is supplied with a 1.5 m (4 ft. 10 in.) power cable / power cord with a
standard EU (Schuko-type) mains power plug. If this plug is not suitable for your local
mains power sockets / convenience receptacles and you need to install a new mains
power plug / cord cap on the supplied power input cable, follow the instructions
below.
1.
Check that the new mains plug / cord cap is rated minimum 250 V, 16 A, that it has
a connection to ground / earth and that it has an integral cable grip.
2.
Cut the existing Schuko-type plug off the power cable.
3.
To install the new mains plug / cord cap, follow the plug / cap
manufacturer’s
instructions. Respect the color coding used in the
Santinel’s
power cable and in
your local mains power wiring system. US and EU systems use the color coding

Main fuse
See
on page 7. The main fuse sits in a fuse holder under the
lockable container compartment access flap.
If the Santinel appears to be completely shut down even though power is applied, the
main fuse may have blown. Disconnect the Santinel from power before replacing the
fuse. Replace only with a fuse of the same type and rating.
