STANDARD EQUIPMENT
Two piece aluminum front underbody shield staring behind the
front bumper and running to the 2nd cross-member protecting
front underbody and oil pan.
UNDERBODY SHIELD, FRONT
The Transfer Case Shield is made out of steel (Black) and is held on
by 4 bolts only at the front
TRANSFER CASE SHIELD
Aero shutters are designed to close when operating conditions
permit. The shutters are located on the front of the A/C condenser
under hood to divert airflow around the front of the truck reducing
wind drag and improves fuel economy. When the cooling system
requires more air flow the shutters automatically reopen, ensuring
proper air flow through the radiator.
NOTE: : Aero Shutters will remain open at speeds under 30mph.
AERO SHUTTERS
Upfitter Wire Harness Passage
ROUTING GROMMET
Provides pass through for small number of wires and is located at
the lower left side of the front of dash. Carefully remove or puncture
only the nipple portion for passage of wire and silicone seal around
the wire after installation. Note that a vehicle harness connector is
located at the interior side of the grommet and may interfere with
passage of wire.
FRONT
Transmission oil is pumped from the transmission through piping
to an oil to air heat exchanger in the upper portion of the air
conditioning condenser tuning and returns to the transmission.
The air conditioning condenser is located in front of the engine
coolant radiator as part of the Cooling Fan and Radiator Module
(CFRM) assembly.

Engine Oil and Transmission Oil are cooled by passing the fluids
through separate coolers located in the engine radiator assembly
end tank and the air conditioning condenser.
Engine oil is pumped by the engine oil pump from the right side of
the engine block through piping to an oil-to-coolant heat exchanger
located within the right side end-tank of the coolant radiator and
returned to the engine. See also TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER.
The Electric Power Steering System consists of a Rack-and-
Pinion steering gear assisted by an electronically controlled
power steering motor and drive assembly. The steering gear is
mechanically connected to the steering wheel system.
