Accessories
The SG18V is supplied with:
•
2 x 18V Battery packs
•
Bit holder
(with nose cone)
We recommend that you
purchase you accessories in the
store from where you obtained the tool. Use good quality
accessories and the brand recommended by the vendor.
Sales staff will help and offer advice.
Installing and removing the battery pack
Always switch off the tool
before inserting or removing a
battery pack.
To remove the battery pack (8),
press the release buttons (9) on
each side of the battery pack and
withdraw the pack from the tool.
To insert the pack, align the
tongue on the pack with the groove in the housing and push
it into the tool. Make sure that it “clicks” into its final position
so that it is safely locked in place.
Battery charging
The battery pack for this tool has been shipped in a low
charge condition. You should charge the battery pack fully
before use.
WARNING.
Do not use an extension cord.
WARNING.
Do not throw used batteries into a fire or water:
it could cause an explosion!
Please hand in non-working or used batteries, or tools with
built-in batteries, to the environmentally safe disposal unit at
a municipal waste-disposal centre.
Before inserting into or
removing the battery pack (8)
from the charger (10) always
ensure that the plug is not in
the mains socket.
Slide the battery on to the
charger with the rails of the
battery pack (e) aligned with the
rails of the charger (d). Slide the
battery down until it “clicks” into position.
The red light on the charger
should begin to glow
continuously, indicating that the
battery pack is receiving a
“Fast Charge”.
After approximately one hour, the
“Fast Charge” indicator light (red)
should go out and the green light
should be lit, indicating that the battery pack is fully charged.
Note.
It is necessary to depress both battery pack
release buttons (9) in order to remove the battery pack
from the charger.
Depending on room temperature, line voltage, and existing
charge level, the initial battery charging may take longer
than one hour.
Disconnect the charger from the power source when it is
not in use.
