CSM Mode
The Gasurveyor 500 instruments, by default, have
automatic and manual datalogging enabled when operating
in CSM mode.
During automatic datalogging the instrument stores the
values of all gas ranges together with the current time
and date at 60 second intervals. This interval can be
altered to between 2 seconds and 60 minutes.
The manual datalogging allows the user to store a
snapshot reading at any point, by a single press of Switch
Three (
)
The option on datalogging is for the automatic and manual
datalogging to be disabled when operating in CSM mode.
CGI Mode
When the instrument is operating in CGI mode, the
datalogging is only by manual operation of Switch Three
(
). There is no automatic datalogging.
This function can be disabled in CGI mode.
Construction
The instrument is housed in a tough, impact resistant,
moulded case made of polypropylene.
The top panel is protected by a stainless steel top plate
covering a toughened glass LCD cover.
The battery pack is sealed and attached to the main
instrument body by means of 2 stainless steel hexagonal
screws.
The instrument is sealed against dust and water to IP54
standard. The sensors are protected from dust and water
by membrane and cotton filters.
