OPERATION
Starting the grass trimmer
When cutting, make sure the extension cord is always behind you, on the side already cut.
Hold the grass trimmer with both hands, the protection guard parallel to the floor and the unit
close to the body without placing the product on the floor.
Push the safely lock-out button (1) with thumb, and pull the trigger switch (2) to start the machine.
(Fig.21)
Stop the grass trimmer
Release the trigger switch (2) to stop the machine.
The machine stops completely after a few seconds.
Unplug the power socket for safety.
Trimming tips
Note: To feed out line when you bump the base of the trimmer, the line trimmer must be
operating close to full speed.
A spring-loaded button on the spool holder is depressed when the trimmer is ‘bumped” and this
releases line due to the inertial force of the spinning spool. If too much line is fed out, it will
project beyond the guard edge. It is cut by the blade in the guard, it is only necessary to replace
line that is broken during use. Do not “bump” to excess as it wastes line. It takes a little practice
and experience to judge when to “bump”
Note: Do not cut damp or wet grass. Dry grass will give excellent results.
Note: Always let the line trimmer rotate at top speed. Do not work in such a way as to
overload the trimmer.
