6.5 SWITCHING ON THE DEVICE
Once you have connected the device to a power source, you can now switch it on.
Since power consumption is an important factor, especially in a vehicle, the device
has a physical on/off switch on the back. Please make sure that the switch is set to
“On” before proceeding with the next steps.
Information – Stand-by
When switching off the TV using the remote control, you can select the appropriate
mode by pressing the button (switch on & off) briefly or for longer:
Pressing briefly = stand-by mode
In this mode, the TV set does not shut down completely, and switching the device
back on is quicker (less than 5 seconds). In this mode, the TV set deactivates all
functions (such as interfaces, display etc.) but continues to run in stand-by mode.
However, the energy consumption is higher in this mode than in “deep stand-by”.
Pressing for longer = deep stand-by
In this mode, the TV set shuts down completely. In “deep stand-by”, the energy con-
sumption is < 0.5 W. When the TV is switched back on again, it reboots completely
(this takes up to 30 seconds).
6.6 STARTING THE DEVICE
When the TV set is switched on for the first time, an installation wizard opens to
guide you through the device’s most important basic settings. Follow the corre-
sponding instructions.
