compressor into the cavity A via the port 1. Condense water may be produced due to the reduced temperature,
which is discharged from the exhaust valve e via the passage C.
The compressed air will pass the fine filter g of the drying filter and reaches the upper part of the drying filter
b via the ring-passage h. When passing the drier a, the air is adsorbed by the drier. The dried air flows via the
check valve c and the port 21 to the air reservoir and braking devices connecting with the air reservoir. The dried
air flows to the regenerator via the port 22.
When the air pressure in the system reaches the cut-out pressure, the compressed air from the port 21 will go
into the cavity D via an inclined hole I and function on the diaphragm m. When the pressure exceeds the spring
pre-stress, the intake valve n will be opened and the air pressure will propel the piston d to move downward to
open the exhaust valve e. The compressed air in the air compressor will be discharged from the dryer port 3 via the
inlet port 1, the passage c and the exhaust valve e.
Meanwhile, the compressed air in the regenerator tank will flow to the lower end of the drying filter tube via
the port 22. When the expanded compressed air flows from bottom to top via the filter tube b, the compressed air
will absorb the moisture in the surface of the drier a and be discharged from the exhaust port 3 via the passage C
and exhaust valve e.
When the air pressure reaches the value for switching-on of the pressure regulator, the exhaust valve e will
be closed and the whole drying process will start again.
The optional heater can prevent the structural components such as the piston d from freezing so as to avoid
any troubles.
Four-way protective valve
The four-way protection valve is used in a multi-circuit air brake system. If one of the pipes is invalid, the valve
will prevent the air charge and discharge of other circuits from being affected.
