SELECTING THE SPEAKERS LOCATION (STEREO)
If you decided not to use the Goldmund Logos stands, you will need a very strong support
of 60 to 70 cm high for the Logos 1 to sound properly.
A rigid floor is very important for the optimal sonic result of your Logos 1 speakers. Especially
if you use the Logos Foot or Stand, select a position of the speaker to have the most rigid
possible coupling with the floor. Solid coupling is essential, and if your support is standing
on a suspended floor, optimal result requires that you arrange the support to have at least
2 feet of the stand above a supporting beam or close enough from a supporting wall.
In Stereo, the ideal location of the speaker in the room has to be found by experiment.
Avoid standing the speakers to in the corner of the room and try to set them away from any
adjacent wall by 60cm (2 feet) minimum. The proper listening position is located by 1 to 1.5
times the distance between the speakers at equal distance from each.
Depending on the room acoustics, the speakers may be standing parallel or slightly tilted
toward the listener.
If the room size permits, try to separate the speaker by 3m (10 feet) minimum to provide a
large stereo image.
