1  Safety Instructions 

1.1 General

 

• 

Read the user manual completely and carefully before use.

 

The user manual is part of the product and contains important information for  

 

correct use.

 • 

Keep this user manual.

 

The user manual must be available for uncertainties and passing the product.

 • 

Do not modify product and accessories.

 • 

Do not open the housing.

 

• 

Use product, product parts and accessories only in perfect condition.

 

• 

In case of questions, defects, mechanical damage, trouble and other    

 

 

problems, non-recoverable by the documentation, contact your dealer or 

  producer.

 

Not meant for children. The product is not a toy!

 

• 

Secure packaging, small parts and insulation against accidental use.

 

 

•   Never leave the LED reading magnifier unattended.

 

Risk of blindness

 

Never look into the sun or other strong light sources with the LED reading    

 

magnifier, not even close to them. 

 

There is a danger of blindness!

 

• 

Never look directly into the light sources of the LED reading magnifier.

 

The eyes can be damaged!

 

Fire hazard

 

• 

Do not leave the LED reading magnifier in the sun. 

 

There is a risk of fire due to bundled light beams and concentrated heat.  

 

Risk of injury by stumbling and falling

 

• 

Do not use the magnifying glass when you are moving.

 

Obstacles can be overlooked and get tripped over it.

 

• 

Handle the product carefully.

 

It can be damaged by shocks, blows or falling from a low height.

Do not touch the lenses with your fingers, fingernails and/or sharp/pointed  

  objects. 

 

• 

Avoid stresses such as heat and cold, moisture and direct sunlight

 

 

vibration and mechanical pressure.

1.2 Batteries hazards

 

• 

Do not mix old and new batteries.

 

• 

Only use batteries of the same or equivalent type as recom mended.

 

• 

Do not mix alkaline, carbon zinc or nickel cadmium batteries

.

 

• 

Remove leaked, deformed or corroded batteries from the product and   

 

 

dispose them by appropriate protectives.

Do not throw into fire.

2  Description and Function

2.1 Product

The LED reading magnifier is ideal for displaying fine details such as extremely 

small fonts, pictures, objects in books, newspapers, cards, elektronics, jewellery 

etc.

3  Intended Use

   

We do not permit using the device in other ways like described in    

 

 

  chapter „Description and Function“ or „Safety Instructions“. Use the 

  product only in dry interior rooms. Not attending to these regulations 

 

 

  and safety instructions might cause fatal accidents, injuries, and dama-

 

 

  ges to persons and property.

4  Insert batteries

 

NOTICE! Material damage due to incorrect power supply.

 

• 

Only use batteries specified in the chapter „Specifications“ or batteries of

 

 

an equivalent type.

 

• 

Observe the safety instructions in chapter „1.2 Battery hazards“.

 

1.  Check the scope of delivery for completeness and integrity.

 

2.  Open the battery compartment (5) on the back of the LED reading magni- 

 

 

fier handle. See Fig. 2a.)

 

3.  Insert 3 new batteries into the battery compartment, observing the polari-

 

 

ty of plus and minus. Fig. 3b).

 

4.  Make sure that the the strap to remove the batteries is between the lowest  

 

 

and the two batte ries above. 

   

5.  Close the battery compartment with the battery cover. Fig. 3c).

 

6.  Let it click into place with an audible click.

5  Switching lighting on / off 

 

1.  Switching on: press the on/off button (3) 1x briefly.

 

2.  Switching off: press the on/off button once again briefly.

6  Replacing the batteries

 

If the luminous power of the LEDs becomes weaker or if the LED reading magnifier  

cannot be switched on any more, the batteries must be replaced.

7   Replacing light sources

The light sources are not exchangeable. 

8  Maintenance, Care, Storage and Transport

 

• 

Only use a dry and soft cloth for cleaning.

 

• 

Do not use detergents or chemicals. 

 • Store cool and dry.

 

• 

Remove batteries / rechargeable batteries when not in use.

 • Store the product out of the reach of children and in a dry and dust-pro- 

 

 

tected ambience when not in use. 

 

• 

Keep and use the original packaging for transport.

9  Disposal Instructions

9.1 Product

  

According to the European WEEE directive, electrical and electronic    

 

 

equipment must not be disposed with consumers waste. Its components

 

 

must be recycled or disposed apart from each other. Otherwise contami-

  native and hazardous substances can damage the health and pollute the  

  environment. 

 

 

As a consumer, you are committed by law to dispose electrical and elect- 

 

 

ronic devices to the producer, the dealer, or public collecting points at the  

 

 

end of the devices lifetime for free. Particulars are regulated in national 

 

 

right. The symbol on the product, in the user manual,or at the packaging 

 

 

alludes to these terms. With this kind of waste separation, application,   

 

 

and waste disposal of  used devices you achieve an important share to  

 

 

environmental protection.

9.2 Packaging

  

Packaging can be disposed of free of charge at the suitable collection   

 

 

points – paper belongs in paper bins, plastics belong in yellow sacks and
