SETUP MENU
• Press the TV/DVD button on the remote control
to get the DVD logo display.
Press SETUP button.
Typical display is shown below. Settings in the
right hand column can be changed.
You can not play DVD video discs rated higher than the level
you select unless you disable the rating control function.
For example, when you select level 7, discs rated higher than
level 7 are blocked and can not be played.
The following USA movie ratings provide an equivalence
guide to the DVD rating level, however the rating recorded
on the disc does not always match the movie rating.
If you change the level and enter a password,
playback of all DVDs with ratings higher than your
selection will be blocked, unless the correct password
is entered again. For example: if you change the level
to “5”, the DVD player will not play discs or parts of
discs with ratings of “6”, “7” or “8” unless the correct
password is entered on the remote control.
At the SETUP screen, press
/
to select
“Rating” and press ENTER.
Press ENTER repeatedly to select the
desired level.
Selecting 'UNLOCK' disables rating
control. Press SETUP to exit.
At the SETUP screen, press rating to select
“Password” and press
.
To clear your 4-digit password
If you forget your password, to clear the current
password, follow the procedure below.
At the SETUP screen
1 Press
to select “Rating” item.
2 Enter 4-digit number “2,5,8,0” and
then press ENTER.
The 4-digit password is cleared.
Your password is needed to enable playback of a
higher rating or to change the rating level.
At the SETUP screen, press
to select
“Password” and press ENTER.
Input a 4-digit password to OLD.
Example : 1234
Do not forget your password.
Input the 4-digit NEW password and press ENTER.
Setting is finished.

The unit requests your password with 'INPUT - - - -'.
Make one up with the number buttons if it is the first
time you have used this feature. A wrong password
repeats the 'INPUT - - - -' request .
When password entry is successful the password
line displays 'CHANGE', meaning you can now
change the rating.
