SETUP MENU
At the SETUP screen, press
/
to
select “TV DISPLAY” and press ENTER.
Press ENTER to select the desired
DISPLAY and press SETUP to exit.
Press ENTER to select the desired TV
TYPE and press SETUP.
Set the player’s Digital Audio Output according to
the type of audio system you use.
4:3 Letterbox (LB) fits the full width of a 16:9 wide
screen movie onto the 4:3 screen. Unused areas
at the top and bottom of the screen are blacked
out.
4:3 Pan and scan (PS) expands the central
viewpoint of a wide screen movie to fill the 4:3
screen. Left and right edges of the movie picture
are cut off by the sides of screen.
BITSTREAM
:
Select “BITSTREAM” if the digital
audio output is supplied to equipment with a DTS or
Dolby Digital decoder.
PCM
:
Select “PCM” if the digital audio output is
connected to equipment which requires only
linear PCM, typically a MD recorder or DAT deck.
16:9 Wide plays the picture as it was recorded.
Select this mode when a wide-screen TV set is
connected. Set the wide-screen TV to display the
picture full screen.
• Some movies have different wide screen aspect
ratios to 16:9 or do not support pan and scan. In
these cases you will see a letter box-style picture
even in pan and scan mode.
At the SETUP screen, press
/
to
select “TV TYPE” and press ENTER.
At the SETUP screen, press
/
to
select “Digital Out” and press ENTER.
Press ENTER to select the desired output
and press SETUP.
