The 8 bit check character is only output when using the transparent protocol. It then
includes the start character. The check character (transparent protocol), cannot be re-
moved from the data block. It is a matter of configuration, whether data telegrams are
output permanently according to the set update rate or only during the period, when
a transponder is within the field.
