Avoiding damage to materials, property and the device
■
Always place the device on a dry, level,
fi
rm and heat-resistant surface.
■
Maintain suf
fi
cient clearance from other sources of heat such as hotplates or stoves
in order to avoid damage to the device.
■
Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong temperature
fl
uctuations,
direct sunlight or moisture.
■
Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
■
Do not pull or carry the device by the mains cord. Always pull the plug, never the
cord, to remove the mains plug from the socket.
■
Only the accessory parts supplied by the manufacturer should be used. If acces-
sory parts which are not authorised by the manufacturer are used, all warranty and
guarantee claims are void.
■
Only use heat-resistant utensils to place and remove the food. Keep metal objects
or other sharp objects away from the device. These objects could damage the non-
stick coating of the baking surface. We recommend you use kitchen utensils made
of wood or plastic.
■
Do not place food that is still wrapped in cling
fi
lm or plastic bags into the device.
■
Never spray cold water onto the baking surfaces during or immediately after the use
of the device. This could damage the non-stick coating!
■
Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the device. They
could damage the surface.
Hygienic notes
■
The device should be cleaned before you use it for the
fi
rst time. It is possible that
production residues may still be adhering to the surfaces. It is essential that you fol-
low the cleaning instructions in the “Before Initial Use” chapter.
■
Do not use spoilt food. Never keep food longer than the best-before date.
■
Clean the device after each use to prevent germ formation (see the “Cleaning and
Storage” chapter).
■
Keep the device clean.
