Proper use

Check the device for damages each time before using it. If the device, the cord or the plug
exhibit visible damages, the device may not be used. Do not use the device if it malfunc-
tions or has fallen down.

If the device is defective, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In the event of damage, con-
tact customer service (see section “Customer service”).
❐
Do not use any additional accessories. Only use the enclosed accessories from the manu-
facturer.
❐
Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
❐
Do not leave the device activated when unattended.
❐
When
fi
lling, pouring out or cleaning the kettle, take it off the base.
❐
Never
fi
ll it above the
MAX
mark.
❐
If the device has not been
fi
lled with any water or less than 0.3 l of water, the dry-running
protection will automatically deactivate the device. In this case, let the kettle cool off be-
fore you
fi
ll in and boil cold water.
❐
Each time before boiling, ensure that the lid is properly closed and that the switch is not
jammed as the device may otherwise not be able to deactivate.
❐
Do not move the device during the boiling process.
❐
Avoid coming into contact with steam emitted from the spout.
❐
Do not open the lid during the boiling process and as long as the device is hot, be careful
when opening the lid for adding water.
❐
Always make sure that you slowly and carefully pour out boiling water and that you do not
tip the device too abruptly.
❐
Be particularly careful when moving the kettle that is
fi
lled with hot water.
❐
Pull the mains plug from the socket
– if you do not plan to use the device for a prolonged period of time,
– if a defect occurs while in use,
– before a storm,
– before you clean it.

If you wish to remove the mains plug from the socket, never pull on the cable, but always
on the plug.
❐
Never submerge the device in water or other liquids! Ensure that the device, cord or plug
do not fall in water or are at risk of getting wet. If the device falls in water, immediately
disconnect the power supply.

Never touch the device, the cord or the plug with wet hands.
Warranty conditions
Defects arising due to improper handling, damage, calci

cation or attempts at repair are ex-
cluded from the guarantee. This also applies to normal wear and tear.
