Prior to

rst use
1. Unpack all parts, make sure that the product contents are complete (see “Product con-
tents and device overview”) and check for any damages from transport. If you identify
damages to the components, do not use them (!). Instead contact our customer service
(see section “Customer service”).
2. Take the kettle off the base and clean the kettle and the lid (see section “Cleaning and
storage”). Dry both parts thoroughly.
3. Place the base on a dry, level, solid and heat-resistant surface and insert the mains plug in a
properly installed socket.
4. Fill the kettle with water up to the
MAX
mark and place the lid on the kettle. The closure
catch on the lid must point towards to the handle.
5. Set the kettle on the base. Make sure that the lid is properly closed and that the switch is
not blocked.
6. Let the water boil (see section “Use”) and then pour it out.
7. Repeat steps 4 and 5.
The kettle is now ready for use!
