Tips
• This device works with hot air. Generally all dishes that can be prepared in a con-
ventional convection oven can also be prepared in the fryer. It is suitable for hot-air
grilling chips and potato wedges made from fresh potatoes, preparing deep-frozen
chips and other deep-frozen products as well as preparing thin slices of all kinds
of food (including both fresh vegetables and fresh meat and
fi
sh), and much more.
• The device generally does not need to be preheated. However, it is advisable to
preheat to the desired temperature in order to be able to better measure the cooking
time point or when preparing dishes that should be cooked to a precise point.
• Oil is generally not needed to prepare dishes in the device. Oil can be added to the
dishes for
fl
avouring by lightly spraying the food with oil from the oil sprayer. In addi-
tion, marinated or breaded food can be prepared in the device.
• Cooking times depend on size and quantity of the food and the cooking temperature.
However, cooking times are generally shorter than they would be for a conventional
oven. We recommend starting with shorter cooking times and adjusting them ac-
cording to personal preference afterwards.
• Follow the manufacturer’s speci
fi
cations for time and temperature when preparing
deep-frozen products. To yield a crispy result, never add fat when preparing indus-
trially manufactured deep-frozen products, as these are usually already pre-fried.
The preparation time can be shortened a bit. So check to see whether the dish has
cooked through before the speci
fi
ed cook time has elapsed.
• For some foods (such as chips and others), it is recommended to mix the food oc-
casionally so that it cooks evenly. To do this, pull the drawer (
4
) out of the device
and gently shake the food to mix it up. Then put the drawer back in and continue the
cooking process.
