Setting Up and Connecting the Device
PLEASE NOTE!
■
Only connect the device to a plug socket that is properly installed and matches the
technical data of the device. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after
connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.
■
Make sure that the connection is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges and
does not come into contact with hot surfaces (e. g. of the device).
1. Set up the device with a clear space on all sides (at least 20 cm) and clear space
above it (at least 30 cm) on a dry,
fl
at, solid and heat-resistant surface.
2. Fully unwind the connection.
3. Plug the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket that is easily accessible.
A beep will be heard and all the elements in the display (
23
) will light up once. After
that all elements will go out again, apart from the
fi
eld

20
). The display shows the
message “– – –”.
Safety Features
• The device is equipped with an internal timer. Once the set timer time has elapsed,
the supply of heat is automatically switched o
ff
. To switch the device on again, touch
the
fi
eld

)
(see the “Using the Device and Preparing Food” chapter).
• The device switches o
ff
automatically when the drawer (
10
) with the basket insert (
6
)
is pulled out of the device while preparing food. All elements on the display (
23
) go
out. When the drawer is inserted back into the device, a beep sounds, all elements
light up once on the display and then go out again. The LED display (
5
) shows the
symbol for the previously selected programme (
“Manual”
programme excluded) and
the set temperature and the remaining timer time appear on the display. The set pro-
gramme continues to run until the timer time has elapsed or the device is switched o
ff
manually (see the “Operation” and “Using the Device and Preparing Food” chapters).
Operation
Be aware that the preset cooking temperatures and cooking times are averages.
As ingredients di

er due to their origin, size, shape and brand, we cannot guaran-
tee the optimum setting for the ingredients. The actual cooking times may there-
fore vary depending on the portion size.
Make sure prior to serving that the food
is fully cooked through!
