Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, persistent moisture, direct
sunlight or impacts.
■
Keep the device in a dry place at temperatures of between 0 and 40°C.
■
Make sure that the connecting cable is not squashed, bent or laid over sharp edges
and does not come into contact with hot surfaces (e.g. of the device).
■
Never place objects on the device or the connecting cable.
■
Use only original accessories from the manufacturer in order to guarantee that there
is no interference that may prevent the device from working and to avoid possible
damage.
Before Initial Use
1. Remove any possible fi lms, stickers or transport protection from the device.
Never
remove the rating plate and any possible warnings!
2. The device should be used for the fi rst time without any food in it as it may produce
some smoke or odours due to coating residues. Allow the device to heat up on the
highest temperature setting for approx. 10 minutes without any food in it (see the
“Use” chapter).
3. Thoroughly rinse all accessories. Follow the instructions in the "Cleaning" chapter to
do this.
Safety Features
Button Lock
If no button is pressed for 20 seconds, a button lock is activated and the display be-
comes darker. To unlock the buttons, move a fi nger over the bottom row of buttons
.
Overheating Protection
The device has overheating protection. If the internal temperature is too high, the device
is automatically switched off by the overheating protection. In this case, pull the mains
plug out of the plug socket and allow the device to cool down.
Use

Do not use the device if it has malfunctioned, fallen or been dropped in water. Have
it checked in a specialist workshop before using it again.

Only operate the device with supervision.
■
Only ever place the inner pot and no other containers which are not supplied with the
device in the cooking chamber.
■
A clear gap of at least 10 cm must remain between the device and other objects or
walls. Do not place anything on the device.
■
Do not use the inner pot if it is damaged. If it is scratched or has other damage,
contact the customer service department.
