Make sure that with liquids the top marking in the inner pot is not exceeded so that it
does not overfl ow!

The inner pot gets hot in the device. Only hold it by the handles and place it down on
a heat-resistant surface.
■
Do not place food that is still packed in plastic wrap or plastic bags in the device. Do
not leave either the ladle or the rice spoon or other kitchen implements lying in the
device when it is switched on.
■
Keep the device, in particular the inner pot and the heating plate, clean. Any dirt and
contamination could start to burn and possibly cause faults.
Preparations
1. Place the device on the kitchen unit or another dry, clean, fl at and heat-resistant work
surface. Ensure that there is suffi cient clear space at all sides.
2. Press the button for opening the lid (

. The lid (

3. Make sure that the steam outlet (

is inserted in the lid, the drip tray (

on the back of the device, the cover with sealing ring (

is inserted in the cooking chamber. The handles of the inner pot must be
positioned in the recesses at the side of the device.
4. Fully unwind the connecting cable (

and connect it to the mains connecting

5. Plug the mains plug into an easily accessible plug socket. The control panel (

switches on.
6. Place the food that is to be prepared in the inner pot. For steaming, pour water or
broth into the inner pot and insert the steaming insert (

7. Close the lid. It must engage audibly.
Cooking
Either set the cooking time and temperature manually or select one of the 18 programmes.
To cancel a programme or delete a setting, press the
WARMHALTEN/
ABBRECHEN (keep-warm/cancel)
button (

If no button is pressed for 20 seconds, a button lock is activated (see the “Safety
Features” chapter – “Button Lock”).
Manual Setting
1. Activate the control panel by pressing any button.
