Intended Use
• This product is intended for grinding up spices.
• The product is for personal use only, is not intended for com-
mercial applications.
• Use the product only for the intended purpose and as described
in the instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.

Batteries
can be deadly if swallowed. Keep batteries and the product out
of the reach of children and animals. If a battery is swallowed,
seek medical assistance immediately.

CAUTION – Danger of Burns from Battery Acid!
If a battery
leaks, avoid physical contact with the battery acid. Wear protec-
tive gloves if necessary. If you touch battery acid, rinse the af-
fected area with abundant fresh water immediately and contact
a doctor as soon as possible.

Do not touch the grinding mech-
anism.

No liquid must be allowed to enter the product.

Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents!
If
necessary, wipe down the product with a cloth or a soft brush.

Take batteries out of the product when they are dead or if you
will not be using the product for a prolonged period. This will
prevent any damage if a battery leaks.

Take any leaking batteries out of the product immediately.
Clean the contacts before you insert a new battery.

Before Initial Use / Inserting Batteries
Insert four batteries (1.5 V, AA type) into each product before you
fi
rst use it. Before inserting the batteries, check whether the con-
tacts in the product and on the batteries are clean, and clean them
if necessary.
1. Unscrew the grip anticlockwise
and then remove it.
2. Remove the plastic ring from
the battery unit.
3. Insert 4 x 1.5 V batteries, AA
type into the battery compart-
ment. Ensure the correct polar-
ity (+ / –).
4. Slide the plastic ring back onto
the battery unit.
5. Put the grip back and screw it on clockwise.
Replace the batteries when the power of the product starts to
wane.
PLEASE NOTE!
Always replace all batteries together. Do
not use batteries of different types or brands, or batteries with dif-
ferent capacities.
Filling the Spice Container
1. Unscrew the grip anticlockwise
and then remove it.
2. Pull the battery unit off from the
spice container.
3. Fill the spice container with
coarse salt, peppercorn etc.
4. Put the battery unit back on the
spice container. Make sure that
the contacts on the respective
parts are properly aligned on
top of one another.
5. Put the grip back and screw it
on clockwise.
Use
• Turn the grinder adjusting screw to set the de-
sired grain size.
• Push the On / Off button to season meals. The
light will illuminate during the grinding process.

Disposal
Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally
friendly manner and take it to a recycling centre.
Dispose of the product in an environmentally friendly manner
at a recycling centre for used electrical and electronic devic-
es. More information is available from your local authorities.
Batteries should be removed prior to disposal of the product
and disposed of separately from the product at suitable col-
lection points.
