3. Open the lid and if applicable, grease the baking surfaces slightly before baking for the
fi
rst
time.
4. Heat up the device: Connect it to a properly installed socket. The red indicator light will
illuminate as soon as the device has been connected to a socket. The green indicator light
illuminates when the device has reached operating temperature. Always keep the device
closed when it is heating up.
5. The device reaches its operating temperature after approximately 3 – 4 minutes when the
green indicator light turns on.
Please note:
The green indicator lights turns off during fur-
ther operation and then turns back on at regular intervals. This is not a malfunction, but sim-
ply indicates that the device is heating up again or interrupting the heating process in order
to maintain a constant operating temperature.
6. Fold up the lid once the device has reached its operating temperature.
7. Place the prepared batter in the moulds in the lower baking surface. The moulds in the lower
baking surface should be adequately
fi
lled. The exact amount of batter that needs to be
fi
lled
in the baking moulds depends on the consistency of the batter and can best be determined
by performing a test baking cycle. Don't be discouraged if the
fi
rst baking attempt doesn't
turn out perfect!
8. Carefully close the lid and let the popcakes bake for approximately 6 – 8 minutes.
9. Open the lid to check whether the popcakes have been baked according to your wishes or
whether they need to be baked more.
10. When the popcakes are done, use wooden or plastic kitchen utensils to carefully remove
them and place them on the enclosed rack so they can cool.
11. Fill the device again in order to bake more popcakes.
12. If you do not want to bake more popcakes, pull the plug out of the socket and let the device
cool off completely in an open state before you clean and stow it (see chapter “Cleaning and
storage”).
Decorating popcakes
• For best results, let the popcakes cool off before you decorate them.
• The popcakes can be eaten pure or they can be coated with chocolate or another
cake icing.
1. Prepare the icing.
2. Insert the enclosed sticks in the popcakes.
This works best when the popcakes are on the enclosed rack and you quickly dip the stick
in the prepared icing before inserting it in the popcakes. This ensures that the popcake safely
stays on the stick. Let the icing dry brie
fl
y before you decorate the popcake in the next step.
3. Now coat the popcake with icing by dipping it in the icing. Let your
imagination decide what other decorations you need: For example, try
adding coloured or chocolate sprinkles for more decoration.
4. To improve drying of the icing, stick the popcake with the stick in the
popcake rack (see image) so that it stays upright.
