1)
Install awning, hooking the lip on the awning over the top edge of the brackets and adjust the position of the
awning fore and aft. Be sure to position it so that it does not interfere with the opening of the rear hatch (10
footers). Also, consider the placement of the
leg
mounting brackets on the vehicle (see note below).
2)
Mark hole placement on awning through either one of the lower holes
in awning bracket and remove awning from the brackets.
3)
Using a drill-bit stop (or open the awning slightly and use a small
backing plate) drill the 15/64” holes in the awning. Be sure the drill
bit does not penetrate the awning case more than 1/16”, as it could
damage the fabric inside!
4)
Re-mount the awning to the brackets. Using the small machine screws,
washers, and lock nuts, attach the awning to the bracket through the
holes just drilled.
Note:
Note:
Note:
Note: Fiamma supplies two brackets designed to accept the feet of the awning legs. These can be installed on the side of
the van to support the legs with the included stainless sheet metal screws (the plastic inserts are not needed, but some
silicone sealant is recommended). These are optional and require drilling additional holes in the body of your van. You may
want to use the awning for a bit to decide if this is a feature you really want before

before
before getting out the drill. If you choose to use
them, there are some details you should watch out for:
1) Ensure the rear bracket is installed far enough to the rear so it does not interfere with the slider door.
2) The fore/aft position of the awning may need to be adjusted to avoid front leg interference when opening the front door.

1)
Hold the ARB awning up in place to get an approximate idea of where the awning brackets will be mounted
on the awning.
2)
Pull the awning down and remove the mounting brackets from the body. Slide two of the shorter 6mm bolts
(16mm) in the top track of the awning and two of the longer 6mm bolts (25mm) into the lower track of
awning per bracket. Get them lined up in the approximate positions and slip a stack of five of the 6mm flat
washers on each of the longer bolts to act as a spacer. Place the brackets on the awning and loosely secure
them with the nylock nuts.
3)
Place the awning back up on the van and fasten the brackets to the body, shifting the brackets slightly as
needed.
4)
Tighten the nylock nuts to secure the awning.
Picture shows a single hole. Choose
either of the two lower holes to
fasten the awning to the bracket.
