WALKING PAD
HOME FITNESS
1. Lubrication: after a period of use, it is necessary to use silicone oil to reduce friction from the belt.
Light use (3 hours or less per week) lubricate once every 5 months
Medium use (3-7 hours per week) lubricate every once every 2 months
Heavy use (more than 7 hours per week) lubricate once per month
Follow the instructions below. Make sure not to over-lubricate the machine.
2. Inspect machine to make sure lubrication is required
Grasp the belt, and touch the underside of the belt near the centre/back area. If
there is oil present ( it will feel slightly wet) then no additional lubrication is
needed. If the belt/ board is dry and there is no oil on your hands, add oil to
lubricate.
Find the centre of the belt. Spray silicone on the underside of the belt. Run the
treadmill at the lowest possible speed to evenly spread the silicone oil. After about
one minute, the silicone oil will be absorbed by the belt.
3. Running belt tension adjustment
All treadmills are inspected and the belt is adjusted before leaving the factory, but after sustained use, the belt may
become loose. You may notice that the belt slips a little while you are using. When this happens, adjust the belt by
turning the adjustment bolts on the left and right ½ turn clockwise.
Note: do not over-tighten the belt. Only tighten enough to eliminate the slipping issue. Over-tightening the belt will
increase the wear and tear on the belt and will reduce the lifetime of the machine.
4. Belt Deviation
After a period of use, the belt may deviate to the left or right
This may be caused by the following:
a. The main body is not in a stable position or is on uneven ground
b. The user is not centered on the belt when walking
c. Uneven steps from the user.
Deviation caused by normal use will fix itself after a few minutes of running the machine without a user.
Some deviations cannot be fixed automatically. For these follow these instructions:
The belt deviates to the left: tighten the left adjustment screw (1/4 turn) and loosen the right adjustment screw (1/4
turn)
The belt deviates to the right: tighten the right adjustment screw (1/4 turn) and loosen the left adjustment screw
(1/4 turn)
Run the belt to see if the belt is centered
Repeat the above steps until the belt is centered.
Please note: belt deviation is not covered by the warranty, and must be corrected and maintained by the user
according to the above instructions.
Belt deviation can lead to serious damage and affect the lifetime of the machine. Make sure to adjust the belt at the
first signs of deviation.
