To quilt in the baste quilting mode, take the following steps:
1.
Confirm that the
stitch length is the desired length (small, medium, or large).
• Press to reduce stitch length.
• Press to increase stitch length.
2. Check the stitch button icon. When stitching is inactive, pressing this button or the stitch
button on the handlebars will create a single stitch, or toggle the needle to the up or down
position, depending on settings.To switch the type of stitch created, go to the Settings menu
(see page 27).
3. Position the quilting machine over the quilt. If needed, use the needle jog buttons to move the
needle closer or further from the fabric in small increments to help place your first stitch.
• Press to move the needle up or down in small increments.
Use the basting mode to create loose, temporary stitches to hold layers of fabric together while
quilting.
To switch to a different quilting mode, press the next quilting mode button.
