12. Set the air pressure

A.
Atomizing air is not used in the UNICARB process.
Close the air control valve (43) by turning it fully
clockwise.
B.
Turn the ES ON-OFF lever (26) to ON.

NOTE:
Using higher than recommended air pressures
can reduce the life of the turbine/alternator. Lower
pressures can be used but may reduce electrostatic
wrap.

Check the voltage output of the gun using a high
voltage probe and meter.
NOTE:
The gun’s normal high voltage reading is 60 to
70 KV. If a ball end high voltage probe is used, the gun
voltage will rise to about 85 KV. This will happen with
all resistive electrostatic guns.
