Initial operation and use
WARNING!
Danger of injury!
The very sharp blade can cut off body parts. Your fingers and thumbs espe-
cially are at risk.
-
Do not reach into the space between the stop plate and Blade as long as
the stop plate has not been completely closed.
-
Do not touch the blade with your fingers.
Child safety lock (switch-on guard)
To secure the unit against unauthorized use it is equipped with a switch-on
guard. This is located under the carriage in the form of a small carriager. To
activate, push the switch-on guard into the unit until it engages perceptibly in
place. During the process, neither the intermittent switch nor the continuous
switch may have been operated. Now the unit cannot be switched on any
more. To deactivate, pull the switch-on guard out of the unit until the final po-
sition.
Using the standard holder for remainders
NOTE!
This unit must be used with carriage and end-piece holder in normal operating
condition, unless the size and shape of the slicing material do not permit their
use.
1. Insert the plug into the socket.
2. Place the slicing material on to the carriage.
3. Place the holder for remainders on the rear wall of the carriage at the
slicing material.
4. Set the requested cutting thickness. The scale of the cutting thickness ad-
justment illuminates discreetly, thus clearly showing the set value, even with
low ambient light.
