GAS TYPE
This appliance is designed to operate on either
Butane or Propane gas at various pressures.
Check the gas type label attached to the appliance for
the correct gas type / operating pressure for your
appliance, for reference see below.
For :
Butane - 30 millibars
Propane - 30 millibars
For :
Butane - 28 millibars
Propane - 37 millibars
For :
Butane - 50 millibars
Propane - 50 millibars
The regulator and hose assembly:
• Must be suitable for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)
and complying with local regulations
• Must be suitable for the above pressures
• Must not exceed 1.0 metre in length
• Check the gas hose for deterioration (cracks, splits)
before each season and when exchanging the gas
cylinder. Any replacement must meet to original
specifications.

Check that the gas
cylinder is full
• Set the burner control
knob to then turn on
the gas source
• Push and turn the control
knob to until ‘click’
will be heard. This
will trigger a spark
to ignite the pilot
burner. 3 to 4
attempts
may be required
• Once the pilot flame is
established, continue to
hold in the knob for 15
seconds to ensure that
the burner remains lit
• Release the control knob
and adjust the heat to the
desired level
• If the burner does not remain lit turn the
control knob to , wait 5 minutes for the
gas to clear before trying again
• If it is not possible to automatically light
the burner and safety checks have been
carried out the burner may be lit manually.

THE GAS CYLINDER
This appliance is designed to house a gas cylinder:
Butane < 6 kg, Propane < 5 kg.
GAS CYLINDER SAFETY
• Never store a gas cylinder indoors
• Keep gas cylinder upright
• Close cylinder valve when the appliance is not in
use
• When changing the gas cylinder ensure that this
is in a amply ventilated area, away from any
ignition source (candle, cigarettes, other flame
producing appliances).
CHECKING FOR GAS LEAKS
NOTE: Never test for leaks with an open flame.
If you smell gas, turn off at source.
Prior to first use, and at the beginning of each new
season (or, whenever gas cylinder is changed), it is a
must for you to check for gas leaks.
1. Make soap solution of one part liquid detergent
and one part water.
2. Turn burner control knob to
, then turn on the
gas.
3. Apply the soap solution to all visible/accessible
gas connections (including the connection of the
gas regulator to the gas cylinder). Bubbles will
appear in the soap solution if connections are not
properly secured. Tighten connections or repair as
necessary.
4. If you have a gas leak you cannot rectify, turn off
the gas source and contact your place of
purchase for assistance. The appliance shall not
be used until the source of the gas leak is found
and rectified
