Setting of the Initial Down Force
The ntal down-force settng s effectve when tangental mode s selected.
tangential mode is generally used for the cutting of thick media. With thick film, additional time is required for the
cutter blade to penetrate the meda fully, even when the necessary cuttng force s appled.
The cuttng operaton starts before the cutter blade has fully penetrated the meda, causng uncut sectons to be left.
When the initial down force is specified, this force is used as the cutting force immediately after the lowering of the
tool when tangental mode s selected, enablng the cutter blade to penetrate the meda rapdly. (As an example,
f the cuttng force s 25 and the ntal down force s 4, for example, the cuttng force appled mmedately after the
pen s lowered wll be 29)

up tool condtons for the cutter plunger, please
choose from Condton No.2 to Condton
No.8 under "Selectng the Tool Condton". For
