Chapter 5 FUNCTION SETTINGS AND OPERATIONS
Setting the Low Movement Speed
This setting determines the slower speed when one of the
[

keys
is initially pressed, and
the length (distance) before faster movement begins.
(1) Press the
[PAUSE] key
to select PAUSE mode.
(2) Press the
[NEXT] key
repeatedly until the following menu is displayed.

(OPTION2) to display the menu shown below.

(LOW SPEED) to display the low-speed setting screen.

Press
the
[F3] key
(LOW SPEED) to specify the speed for low-speed movement. Press the
[F4] key
(LENG) to
specify the length (distance) moved before the low-speed movement changes to high-speed movement begins.
Use the

to change the numeric value and then press the
[ENTER] key
to con

rm your selections.
To cancel your selections, press the
[NEXT] key
.
Setting range: [LOW SPEED] 1 to 30 (cm/s) [Default value: 2]
[LENG] 0 to 30 (cm/s), MAX [Default value: 10]
If 0 was selected for the LENG parameter, the pen carriage starts moving at the high speed. If the
[NEXT] key
is
held down, however, the pen carriage moves at the low speed.
If MAX was selected for the LENG parameter, the pen carriage moves at the low speed without switching to the high
speed. If the
[NEXT] key
is pressed during pen carriage movement, however, the pen carriage switches to the high
speed.
(Default values: LOW-SPEED: 2 cm/s; LENG: 2 cm)
(6) Press the
[PAUSE] key
to cancel PAUSE mode.
This setting is retained in the plotter's internal memory even while the plotter is turned off.
